You can book this activity starting from two people. Each alpaca is shared between two participants, and you’ll enjoy a relaxed-paced walk through the scenic Brabant countryside. The route takes about an hour and a half, during which you’ll hear fun and informative facts about alpacas and their incredibly soft wool.

The alpaca

Alpacas are special and gentle animals that quickly steal your heart with their curious eyes and soft fleece! Originally from the highlands of South America, alpacas are mainly found in Peru, Bolivia, and Chile. They’ve lived alongside people for thousands of years and are primarily kept for their warm and silky wool. Unlike their larger cousin, the llama, alpacas are not used as pack animals. They are smaller, friendlier in nature, and known for being calm and social. Alpacas are herd animals and feel most comfortable in a group. They communicate using soft humming sounds and body language. Their wool, however, is what truly makes them extraordinary. You can experience these charming creatures up close at In de Hei! A meeting with one of our alpacas is always relaxing, joyful, and unforgettable.
